RUNNING ANALYSIS

We are all meant to run. Despite being an incredibly safe way of exercising our bodies, people are still presenting year after year to physiotherapy practices with running related injuries. Here at The Rehab Movement we believe these injuries are largely caused by two reasons; technique, and lack of strength. Have you ever thought that the niggle in your knee when you run could be caused by a faulty running technique? Did you know that strength training not only improves running efficiency, but also decreases injury risk. We like to get to the bottom of running injuries, and first and foremost this starts with looking at technique with a running analysis. The analysis involves treadmill running, with footage taken to ascertain whether technique issues could be contributing to injury. A running analysis can be beneficial from competent runners to beginners. We often implement a strength program following the analysis which helps to follow up any potential weakness contributing to the injury.
